A Gentle Encounter

I have never meditated on Mahavatar Babaji, but I was always encountering things about him on the internet. I even remembered someone asking my Guruji, Shri Nandini Maa, if she had ever met him. She said yes—in a dream.

A Morning of Delight

One morning I woke up feeling so delighted and thought, I wonder if my face is still sensitive to makeup. So I played around with it.

I noticed my face didn’t look like me. In those days, my face would often change to reflect whatever deity or Guru I thought of—or what devotees thought of.

Then, for some reason, I thought of Babaji. I wondered if I would experience him, since I often experience the energies of other Gurus and Gods.

Om Prema Om

I closed my eyes and went deep inside to see if I could feel his energy. My face began to change, and I felt a delightful energy within me. The words “Om Prema Om” came to my mind.

I was me—but me with him in me. I wasn’t in any deep state, but it felt wonderful and almost playful.

This is the mantra I feel is associated with him. I don’t know for sure, but that’s what came to me.

Capturing the Moment

I decided to grab my phone and take a picture.

I’m not sure what he looks like, but I’ve read that he can manifest to people looking differently.
