Something to think and digest…
When our children are small, we give them very simple stories about life—like the birds and bees or the stork—because we know they cannot yet comprehend the deeper truth. We want to protect them from misinterpretation or negative effects. Later, when they are older and more mature, we share the fuller understanding.
Have you ever considered that it may be the same for humanity? The Divine cannot reveal the mysteries of creation until we are mature enough to receive them. The old religious teachings of creation are simple—stepping stones for the childlike mind. Sadhana is the path that elevates us, helping us learn, transform, and grow into readiness for deeper truths.
What is Sadhana
Sadhana is your daily spiritual effort toward enlightenment. It may take the form of praying, chanting a mantra, meditation, or an “inner engineering” practice. Ultimately, it is your personal endeavor to discover truth. Sadhana can also extend into reading spiritual books and scriptures, or any practice that nurtures inner awakening.
It is not only the outer discipline given by the Guru—such as mantra chanting or a meditation technique—but the entire process that supports growth and transformation. Sadhana clears the conditioning of the mind, rewires the brain, and prepares the heart to receive new understanding. Without attention and reflection, practice alone may take longer to bear fruit. But when we truly engage, sadhana becomes a living doorway to deeper realization.
The ultimate goal of sadhana is illumination, and its highest expression is meditation.
